Yesterday was a very important day for the project Ubuntu, which saw the release of the new version of the popular operating system Linux, precisely the 11.04 code name Natty Narwhal. I think this release is particularly important because it could become a “breaking point” with classical interfaces management O.S. we are used to. The most important novelty of this new version of Ubuntu is in fact no doubt Unity, criticatissima and the new graphical interface, however, already seen in the version of the netbook Lucid Lynx.
I could try, at least for now, Live version only but I'll update once already decided that the machine I use for work in the office. I really like the new interface a lot, making use of desktop not dissimilar to that of a iPad for example; the launcher application has been moved to the left side of the screen, with a variety of graphical icons are not too dissimilar from the famous App iOS the Android. There is no doubt that with the spread of the screens touch screen and increasingly large, This type of desktop can be a winning choice, which maybe the other operating system vendors will have to face in a few years.
Graphics aside, under the hood of this new release we find the usual solidity and reliability that has made us accustomed Ubuntu. A focus also to safety; quick installation as soon as the fact, There is also a pre-set firewall and an antivirus. As always, installation is very simple and you can combine Natty Narwhal to dual boot with Windows 7 Wubi, the easy installer in Italian.
My advice is to try this OS, could positively surprise you and maybe convince you to do “big jump”.
Download Linux Ubuntu 11.04

Eeheh, I do not recommend anyone to do the 'big’ jumping and using Linux , any distro, come Desktop ;-D tells you one.. we worked for many years with Unix (Linux) and I assure you that it is not’ gold everything’ that glitters.. I moved in a few words from M $ to have fewer problems.. but the problems have radoppiati ;-A better that Gelataio System / Programmer ;-( … here you can’ notice some nausea after 30 years that I write code ;-DDDDDDD
Mah, guard, of course everything has to be carefully weighed in the sense that no OS, I think, is perfect. Each has its pros and cons, certainly for office use (especially in a law firm) I speak from experience of course, I can tell you that Ubuntu is fine; giving money to Bill Gates did not really make sense…
With this kind of distro you put on the PCs in a nanosecond, you already have everything configured and installed ready and beautiful. In any case, will agree with me, now install and use distro like Ubuntu is proof utonto
And thanks for leaving your comment on that authoritative
Ehehe ;-Q I read often , write clean and simple , After the daily updates of my page, I relax a little’ reading your blog, that being written in Italian Lungu makes me happy ;-Step D XYZ hours reading documents in English and I feel sick *
* I guess I have to change jobs ;-DDD
Thanks for the nice words, Fans always enjoy, also because I write only for fun and passion
I must admit that I often frequent your page, indeed, I also re-download the video of the famous mythical Smau many years ago, review it was a sinking heart… At the time I moved my first steps scenic
See you soon!
Dear Giuseppe, I could not write on a blog… I know now
Uso da ben ubuntu 4 age, I started with the 7.04.
But first I used Mandrake and Suse.
For me it is essential, I only have one on netbooks, I drive on a dual boot PC, obviously only for games…
Felt, I must say that I have just taken unity. Maybe because I have always dislike the so-called type cairo dock like mac and everything else.
I find them confusing and seemingly arcane.
I prefer the hierarchical order of the classic Start menu or programs, if you prefer. I know, maybe I'm old and unwilling to change tout de suite… but I need to digest some’ before their adoption.
So I did the update on the netbook 10.04 a 10.10 and the very first thing I did is to eradicate and replace the unity nterfaccia classic ubuntu.
The netbook edition I have very little time… quickly abandoned.
I have a little googol’ and found not to be the only one to have this feeling.
That said, I can only confirm everything’ that have good OS systems.
A hug.
Ig.
Dear Ignatius, who like to read on these shores! As for the blog, less than a year ago I had the idea to create a blog on wordpress, perhaps the desire to have my own space that was not the usual facebook. Needless to say, wordpress and the world of blogging I have been captured, and that even after a couple of months on wordpress.com I had bought the domain and c'avevo installed on the CMS and various plugins. My passion for computer science and the little free time they have done the rest, As you can see
I realize that compared to my big blog is very little, but as mentioned this is only my space and my creature and began to be deeply attached. Speaking of Ubuntu, I have to tell, Unity is a lot like me, it will be because it reminds me of my beloved iPad? Anyway I agree with you, Ubuntu is good and right thing; in the studio is now my main OS at home and is installed in a dual-boot with windows7…
What about, every so often passes for authoritative comment and leave your own if you come back here with your bike, maybe call me to let me take a ride, I sold my bike recently but as soon as my children grow up in a while buys!
